When using ethernet, you are advised to disable WIFI, on the troubled PC. Everybody on the same street must have a valid address (on the same subnet), which is normally managed by the DHCP server. Use IPCONFIG, use PING, two most oftenly used commands to troubleshoot networks. Networking, specially ethernet is quite simple. I really need help with this issue, I have been without internet for a month on my PC and been using wifi which is extremely slow. So I have absolutely no idea what the problem is, is my LAN not working? why does it say connected but no internet? why does it work for few seconds then stops again? I can access a website like google or youtube for literally 2 seconds, and then im back to the long loading which just tells me "no internet connection". When I disable wifi and connect to the LAN it says that the LAN is actually connected, but when I try to open any websites, nothing loads.Īnother interesting thing is that when I disable the LAN and enable it, or when I type ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew. So currently on my PC, I am using wifi that I have connected with a small WLAN adapter (small usb like wifi things). I called the TP link manufacturer, we tested out the TP link on other devices and they connected just fine. So, I thought the issue was with my internet provider, but it turns out thats not the case, because wifi works on all devices, and so does ethernet connections on other devices. So my PC is connected through an ethernet cable that is connected through a TP link which is connected to a modem. So I am still having this issue, and been having it for a month, I finally decided to look into it but I just cant figure it out.
